We take inspiration from local natural areas- looking to ecosystem types unique to our area for our plant offerings and design inspiration.
Our plants are seed grown for maximum genetic diversity, and genotype specific to our region, when possible. We do not use any pesticides or herbicides on our plants and minimally use a greenhouse so that our plants are well adapted to the climate of our ecoregion. We only sell straight species, native plants; no cultivars or nativars.
Local ecological communities inform our plant choices for yards. If you have sunny, cleared yard- you might look to an oak savanna plant community for inspiration such as that at Rush Oak Openings Unique Area.
