Overview of Site Visit:

A site visit includes a one hour walk during which time we will identify soil type and consider soil health, hydrology overview and light conditions. Approximately one week later you will receive a pdf overview that includes lists of custom chosen native plant options for canopy, shrub and ground layers.

Many suburban yards still house burning bush, barberry, privet and multiflora rose, to name just a few problematic plants. These highly invasive plants leftover from the 1960’s-80’s offer little to no ecological benefit and spread through natural areas.

Invasive species should be replaced with native shrubs or perrenials immediately so as to prevent regrowth. You will receive custom suggestions for small trees, shrubs and perrenialsYour replacement will grow to a similar size and will offer spring blooms for native pollinators and fall berries for birds, not to mention habitat and beauty.

For a site visit cost it 150$. You will receive a detailed PDF with pics and plant lists that match the conditions of your property.
Garden Design
Re-design of Individual Foundation Plantings and Perennial Garden Beds

Design new garden beds and/or update existing garden beds - typically modeled off of regional meadow types in order to reduce turf grass and add more patches of pollinator and bird habitat to your yard.

Design and integrate areas for shrubs, privacy screens , native hedgerows, and/or habitat islands all of which play important role in bird habitat.

Design fee is an hourly rate of 40$/hour.
Property Landscape Design
Designed for clients who want an entire property design. This might include multiple mini habitats such as a meadow, a woodland patch or a food forest garden, paths to connect, water features, and outdoor seating. Property designs based on site assessment.

It all begins with a sketch, and a lot of collaboration. We will carefully listen to your vision and ideas. Maybe you want to create a sensory, dream-like garden of color and texture or maybe you want to create a bird watching oasis to share with your family. Whatever it is, with your input, we will decide on a perfect plant list and layout.

Property Designs are 40$ an hour. At this time, we do not do private residence installation but do provide a list of independent contractors who we work with.
