Northern Bush Honeysuckle is a tough shrub for tough dry and shady conditions. It is short at 3-5 feet, with tiny yellow flowers that are loved by bees. The green leaves have red stems and are a larval host to the Hummingbird Clearwing Moth. In the fall the leaves turn bright, reddish orange. Over time, it spreads by rhizome and can become almost ground-cover like, filling in between other shade plants in tough areas. A reliable and valuable plant!
