Eutrochium fistulosum (Hollow or Tall Joe Pye)

This species is often seed at the edge of ponds or buffers. Temporary standing water is tolerated.The center stem is hollow and often purple. Like all of the species of Eutrochium it is very attractive to pollinators of all types and is a great replacement for non native/invasive Butterfly Bush (Buddleia).
