All around great plant with a rich and wonderful scent. Its preferred setting is consistently moist soil and partial sun. Like all Monardas the leaves can get powdery mildew, so leave a little space between plants for airflow. It fills in with optimal conditions to form a patch, and attracts hummingbirds, butterflies and bumble bees. I planted it along my pond with Ohio Spiderwort, Turtlehead and Joe Pye (pic 1).
