Solidago ohioense (Ohio Goldenrod)

This Goldenrod is native exclusively to the Great Lakes Region. In our area, it is native along Lake Ontario but populations have become rare. It is a beautiful, well behaved Goldenrod and stands only 3 feet tall. This species can be found in sunny wet areas, marshes, fens, peat swamps, calcareous wetlands, wet sand dunes, and along the banks of rivers in the Great Lakes States and Provinces.
