Obedient plant is named after its ability to point its blooms in whatever position you hold it in - at least temporarily. It is in the mint family, has tubular flowers and attracts large numbers of pollinators as well as hummingbirds. It does well in moderately to consistently wet sites and should be planted in large patches due to its ability to spread vigorously by stolons in the right conditions but they are easy to pull out.
