Wild Senna is an excellent focal point in the garden. It has gorgeous foliage and densely textured yellow flowers that are very appealing to native bees. The foliage has wonderful fall color and the seed pods add interesting texture and form through the winter. The seeds are eaten by wild turkeys and the plant is a host to many species of sulfur butterflies, including the Cloudless Sulfur. Check out Matt Dallos of ‘Thicket Workshop’ for amazing use of this plant in a landscape design on the Cornell Campus. Thicket Workshop
