Tall Thimbleweed can be commonly observed all over the Rochester area- mostly in shady areas of clearings. At 3 feet it is a nice height and intesely brightens a shade garden. It is considered an early summer bloomer and pops up during that time between the ephemeral blooms and the mid summer explosion - a time when pollinators often need nectar sources.
